The official announcement was just made... Molly was named "Employee of the YEAR!" Yes, she was born half way through the year, and isn't actually on the payroll, but I was somehow passed over for the award because she is cuter!

November Shorts
Here are random thoughts from November:
Becca informing Piper on proper care of an infant:
"Now, we have to be gentle with Molly. We can't jump on her, we can't feed her snacks, and we CANNOT chop off her hair!"
Should I be worried?!?
Molly has learned to roll over and it has freaked Becca & Piper out.... "Mommy, mommy, mommy... is she ALLOWED to do that? Is she allowed, is she? I don't think she is allowed to do that!!"
A four year old's thoughts on Thanksgiving Dinner:
"Mommy, I thought we were going to cook a turkey... this thing doesn't have any feathers!?!"
I just never know what will come out of Becca's mouth next!
So I thought it would be a great idea to add the 'grocery list' app to my phone. Both Jeremy and I could add/check off items and I would always have it with me at the store... and then I saw what my husband added to the list: Fish Bait (Frozen), Frog legs, Adult Diapers, Ox Tails.... yeah, this is really helpful!
Becca was practicing her Christmas songs today. My favorite line of her version of Jingle Bells:
"Oh what fun it is to ride with one whore on the sleigh!"
I worked on "one horse open sleigh", but she didn't see anything wrong with her version!

Molly's Cleft Palate Pic
Caught a pic of Molly yawning... you can see the complete cleft of the soft palate. The upside down U shouldn't be there - that should be solid all the way across. Just thought it was interesting and I would share!

Office Antics!
Does this file go under M for Molly or C for Cute! |
The Boss is away so Molly is going crazy around the office! ' |
Look away for one minute and Molly is playing with the copy machine! |
"Hope they got my order correct today!" |
The Starbucks cup is half the size of Molly! She is still just a tiny thing! |
Hands-free tube feeding |
Rigged up a way to feed Molly hands-free at my desk. It is amazing what you can do with a few office supplies! |

Molly's Diagnosis
So we have come to find out that our little Molly has been born with a few medical challenges to overcome. The big things are she has a complete soft palate cleft (not the lip, just the palate) and extremely low muscle tone overall.
Right now she has to have a feeding tube because she aspirates (fluid goes into her lungs) when she tries to eat. Down the road she will have to have surgery to fix the palate, but that will be closer to about a year old.
We don't know exactly what this road has in store for us, but we are just hanging on and enjoying the ride!
